Church of Notre Dame de la Grande


One of the most striking features of this church is the elaborate Romanesque West Facade.

1. By comparing corresponding parts across the entire facade: the Gable, the Large Figures, the Biblical Frieze, and the decorative moldings.

Note:  We know that the facade originally  was painted with many bright, even garish colors, but the colors above are  to illustrate the location of different parts of the facade ONLY. The original colors would have been very different.
