At left, the death of the begger Lazarus. His soul, represented by a
small nude figure in a mandorla, is raised to Heaven by two angels.
At center, the death of Dives, the bad rich man. He lies on a bed attended
by two bare-foot females. Under the bed, serpents crawl on his moneybags.
Above the bed, his soul, emerging from his mouth as he dies, is being menaced
by demons.
At right, the soul of Lazarus is being welcomed into the bosom of Abraham.
