Description

Shrine covered with silver plate and ornamented with some jewels, in which is the body of Saint Denis given by Pope Innocent III to the those religous people from this monestery who attended the Latran Counsil in 1215. Some people believe that the head which is in this shine is the one which was honored in the church of the Abbey of Long-pont, or that it is the one that was carried from Constatinople by Nivelon, bishop of Soisson in 1212.
