Description
Chalice and Paten of Abbot Suger. .... The paten is made
of a precious stone called serpentine, covered with gold dolphins, with
a border of gold covered wtih different kinds of precious stones.

History
- In most sources, this paten is associated with the Cup of the Ptolmeys.
Only Félibien groups it with the Chalice of Suger.
- Mounting probably 9th century
- Sent to the Louvre Museum, December 5, 1793
