Description

Crucifix made of the wood from the True Cross, believed to be the work of Pope Clement III's own hands, who gave it to Phillip Auguste. On the reliquary, which is made of gold, the coat of arms of Berry is engraved. Because of this mark, it is believed that it formerly belonged to Jean, Duc du Berry or his son, John du Berry, Count of Momntesnsier.
