The Manuscript

• Parchment, 165 folios.
• Height 31 cm, Width 22 cm..
• It is a sacramentary: that is, a book containing the celebrant's part of the Mass, as well as various calendars, prayers,etc.

• Made of , gold repousse, filigree, precious stones (amethyst, sapphires, garnets, emeralds, chrysoprases, pearls, white gold.
• Height 31.5. Width 25.2 cm, height of figures 8 cm..
• Subject:
• Center Plaque: Crucifixion with figures of Mary and Saint John.
• Right of Plaque: reposse plaques of the Symbol of Matthew (angel), a cherubim, and the symbol for Luke (ox), the Prophet Malachai.
• Right of Plaque: reposse plaques of the Symbol of John (eagle), a cherubim, and the symbol for Mark (lion), the Prophet Ezekiel.
• Top: (right to left) A Prophet, Isaiah, and angel, Jeremiah, and Zechariah.
• Bottom: (right to left) David, Amos, Adam, Osee, and Habakuk.

• Back cover is a fifteenth century replacement.
• Carved gold, engraved and chiseled. border of stamped silver.
• Subject: Saint Jophn holding a book and a palm frond.
