One of the nails with which Our Lord was attached to the Cross. This sacred relic was presented by Emperor Charles the Bald. It is believed that the emperor Constantine II sent it to Charlemagne. The reliquary is made of gold vermeil. Félebien, pages 537. Translated by Jane Vadnal.
